Simply a beautiful lake. It is a fairly easy walk to get there from the cable car. The view is amazing. The lake with in the background the hochkonig mountain range. Up top there's an almost 360 view around the region. A prefect spot for a picnic or to spend some time with your kids as they can play at the water, see some salamanders while you enjoy the amazing scenery.

We took the cable car upward then we hiked for 15 minutes maybe, the lake is so clear and suitable for swimming, the views are amazing also it was included in the hochkonig card so it was a plus 😍

If you walk up it’s really Tori g cuz it’s so steel but it’s totally worth. Even after walking up the green part, you’ll have to go through the forest a little bit and then it still takes time till you get to the very top. It never gets straight always up! For an amateur or just someone who simply starts to go wandering, it’s fine but you should bringt a little more than just a standard stamina.

Perfect views. You can park your car to 25-minute walking distance. Walking path signs say 45 mins, but even in snow, it took us 25 minutes to reach the top. It is a bit steep, but nothing too challenging and definitely worth the walk for these views.

Top of Maria Alm. Few people around in June, calm area, fantastic atmosphere, the view is amazing, and the blue lake also. There is a little path along through the forest with mushrooms. Ideal with children.
